In the United States, the color code for electrical wiring is white to black for the neutral and hot wire. Red is used if a second hot wire may, as in the case of a ceiling fan, also a light. In this way you can control the fan and light separately. If the fan does not include a light, then white wire to the white wire has to be plugged into the wall jack. The cable connects to other black wire and red.

If your smoke detector is flashing rapidly, has nothing to do with the fan. This may be an indication that the battery in the smoke detector will soon be changed.

You say you have a thread in the house. Is it white? In general, the hot wire is black and white is neutral. But maybe someone used instead of red because the powers of an ignition device.

The fast flicker should not be on the way in which it causes the connected fans. Maybe the smoke detector is a smoke detector than in others.
